Poo the elephant

One morning in the mysterious jungle a new elephant was rise. His name was poo. Poo feet hungry so he walked around the jungle looking for peanuts but there was no peanuts anywhere so poo set down on the juicy green grass and looked up in the sky and there it was the bananas but the problem is  it just too high for elephant the poo to rich. so poo the elephant went home to make a invention. When he was finish he named it elephant on a balloon. Poo came out with his invention and tried it. It went well but when poo was have way most off the balloon  were popped. Poo tried flapping his ear to help the rist of the balloon fly higher to get the bananas. After a minutes oh 2 the rust off the balloon popped and poo kept on flapping his ear but it didn’t work . poo came down with a crash” SO poo gave up and buch the banana tree. Poo cried because his hand hurt but there were good news for poo some bananas fall from the banana tree and land on poo hand. Poo felt very very koa.

This text uses similes and metaphors as part of the figurative language.

A simile is when something is described as being ‘like’ or ‘as’ something which it is not.

eg. I flopped across my desk like a dead fish.

The author is not actually a dead fish, but it helps you to get a picture of the look and feel of a situation.

A metaphor is when something is described in that is actually is something which it is not.

eg. I’m drowning in sweat.

The author is not actually drowning, but it gives you the idea of just how much she is sweating.
