A kowhai tree is yellow, its has a flower on it and it is important to the Mario.
A kowhai tree is got hard wood, it is 25 M tall it has small leaves You can find it everywhere in NZ it can make medicine and bees use the nectar to make honey.
So that's why that tree is important to the maori.
