Charlie_Reflection
This year I did my learning with Mrs Parker in a net-book classroom using Google Drive.
Having a net-book made it easier to do my work, find meaning, and connect with others from far places
This year I learned lots about net-book, out of space, and mostly planets.
I did research on…
Jupiter this year to find out if an alien lived on Jupiter what kind of ability.
The thing I enjoyed learning about the most was…all about alien …. because…. in a way it really fun finding new information for parts of the alien.
I still want to learn more about…..other planets and stars because… it's creative in a way for me
The class trip I enjoyed most this year was ….OMG tech because…. I learned lots of new things about 3D, science, making our own game, and many many more
I am proud of the way I find new strategies in maths…. Also I love performing in front of people
Next year I am going to make my own strategies one day …. learn more about maths and become one of the fastest maths solver in my school

Food Science For Kids
This afternoon, my teacher was lucky to have some yummy chocolates from Whittaker’s.
The chocolate we ate was hokey pokey. But, let's get back to the more interesting things like How did she gets all of these chocolates? “O.K” if you want to know listen carefully, she loves cooking & baking. A months ago she made this beautiful, delicious cake. She sent it to Whittaker’s and they replied back saying, “this is a beautiful chocolate cake Steph.” In class she came with a box of Whittaker's chocolate. After that she opened it and got out two packets of chocolate. The flavours were hokey pokey. Everyone in the class got one to hold and to used all our 5 senses and eat it after. When I ate it to me it felt like I was riding a boat down a chocolate river just like Charlie & the chocolate factory. The next day she took out the berry biscuit flavoured chocolate and let us taste it. As I tasted the chocolate, it was like a chocolate volcano was erupting in my mouth with different kinds of fruit.
If I got to make my own chocolate cake like this one I will use light chocolate with some white chocolate.
The flavour I would like to create is a mix of hokey pokey, mixed with berry forest and I’ll named it hokey forest.

Google Expedition
Google Expedition
On Tuesday, two days ago my class and I walked down to room 3 to go on a Google expedition trip around the world. “You may think I'm crazy but trust me, we did” using a cardboard view master with a smartphone inserted. This is what it look like.
The adults controls everything. Our teacher moves us to different kind off places like the great wall of china, the caves in Slovenia, under the ocean and out of space. The most thing I like was going into space and learning all about the moon. On the moon my class and I learned that in the moon the people who went to the moon also had little cars on the moon. The rocks on the moon are small, most of them are big. On the moon the light is red, orange and sometimes yellow.
To me It’s feels like I was there for sur but something in me felt like I was just my imagination. It was a lot of fun learning about knew things about earth and space.

STAR DOME
STAR DOME
It was like a summer morning, but just a little chill when our bus's came to our school because in our school we are learning about the solar system. That my school it going on a trip to star dome to learn about new things, also find new informants to use while we’re doing our solar system writing, and inquiry too. When we there Room 7,8,9, and 10 got off the bus and walked over to the trees were it has some chairs. Room 8, and 10 sat on the chairs while room 7, and 9 sat on the ground for morning tea. After morning tea room 7,and 8 went inside the star dome first while room 9, and 10 stayed outside and had their morning break. When we walked in we had to put our bag away and walked into a room where a woman was standing in front of us. When we all sat down on the chairs she explain all about earth and planets. After that we moved over to a really cool where we lay down on a special chairs and looked up at the silencing because that where the move start. Later on we came out to have lunch and play around while room 9, and 10 went inside.
What causes the seasons ?
What causes the seasons ?
Define: Seasons happened throughout every 3 month & include Autumn, Winter, Spring, & summer.
In Autumn it's more cooler than winter or spring because the earth is on a tilt which why autumn is cooler. And some all the leaves turn orange and yellow.
Winter is the colder because during it tilt it also faceing away from the sun, which why it’s colder. Also good for drinking hot chocolate.
Spring is more windy and a good mouths for flying cite. Spring is also the time when the leaves fall off the trees.
Summer is the hottest of them all. That is a good time to go swimming, also it good to slip, slop, slap and wrap on some t-shirt.
Lastly we get seasons because the earth is on a tilt on its axis. Most people think when the earth orbits the sun we will fall off. “No” because on earth we have gravity.

WALT: Use a cline graphic organiser to order words with similar meanings
WALT: create an acrostic phrase
There are lots of different words that describe the comparative (to compare) size of an object.
Use this cline scale to find the words which indicate size and fit them along the scale (click to edit the image)
People used this acrostic phrase to remember the order of the planets: My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies. Now that Pluto is no longer an official planet create your own acrostic sentence to remember the order of the planets.

3. Write a paragraph summary explaining if Pluto is a planet, and why/why
Pluto is a planet like ever other planet and pluto is well and alive
Travel on a research craft heading to the uncharted limits of the Solar System. Learn how Pluto is different from the other planets and discover the challenges of working out just what a planet should be.
The Problem with Pluto takes a modern look at our once familiar Solar System. It presents a lively debate over Pluto’s planetary status, a debate that had been looming from the moment Pluto was discovered, over 70 years ago.
If you could vote on Pluto’s status, how would you make up your mind? What are the characteristics that all good planets should have? Lucy and her teenage friends, who live on various planets in the Solar System, think they should know the answer but find that it’s not so easy. Lucy’s mother, who is a scientist, is given the job to settle the argument once and for all.
The last decade has seen some major new discoveries within the Solar System and in response scientists have had to rethink their views. Science, history and sentiment all played a part in reorganising our Solar System. But, as Lucy comes to realise, it’s not really a question of what’s right or wrong, but, in looking for the answer, that we discover what’s important after all.

Charlie_ A day with my buddy...
Christmas
It was a snowy chilly winter morning at 6:30am. Lucas and I hurried down the steps to the Christmas tree to see what presents we had got. When I opened my present, I had a cool, awesome bike, but Lucas got a small pinkish, girly car. He was so seething that he didn’t get a bike like he wanted, so that’s when I stepped in.
I told him, “We can share my cool awesome bike and his awesome new girly pink car.”
“O.K Charlie, thank you” he said.
“No problem.” I said.
The next day it was school, Lucas couldn't wait until school. He was so overexcited, that he was a like monkey with a handsome hair riding a really old donkey “hahaha”.

What I am grateful for
This year 2015 I am grateful for, my school, where we are lucky to have free milk. I am grateful for participating in sports, and learning how to cook a perfect egg. By the end of this term I want to achieve 3 level in stage 6.
- In our school we are lucky enough to have free daily milk every day after morning tea. We drink daily milk every day because it has protein, calcium, iodine, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins B2 and B12 for our brain, bone, and muscle working.
- The next things that I am grateful is sport. In our school we mostly play sport and lots of other fun games with our sports gear. We like to do does kind of thing because it keeps our brain working, our muscle moving and lastly it keeps us fit and healthy.
- In my entire life since I was a kid the most challenging thing I have never master was cooking a perfect, to me” cooking a perfect is really hard work. It is really because every time I try to crack an egg it always fall apart, If anyone know how to cook an egg please comment on my blog.
- By the end of this year I wants to achieve level 3 in maths, which is stage 6. The reason I wants to move up is because I want to get really good points and achieve my goal.

Fishing with my neighbour
Fishing With My Neighbour
Guess what I did in my holidays last week? My neighbour and I drove down to the jetty to fish. We got all our fishing gear ready to cast. Next we waited for a fish to bite my bait.
While we were there we got so bored of waiting for a fish to bite my fishing bait on the fishing line, we jumped off the cliff and into the water. While we were swimming my rod was moving so quickly that I got out and ran fast as I could to pull it in. I got a big snapper while my neighbours got a small red pear fish.
When we got home I cooked the snapper and when I ate it. It was so nice and I am glad that I didn’t catch a red pear fish.
The experience was so interesting. I learnt more than one thing, and if they asked me to go again I will say “Yes” because I had the most amazing time in the world.

Writing
WALT: Create an argument with a point of view (P.O.V) and reasons for or against.
SC: Use evidence for or against the topic to create an argument for:
Use these videos to help you
TOPIC: People should include insects in their healthy diet.
We should eat insects as part of a healthy diet.
I agree with this statement because, they are healthy, they are free and cheaper to produce.
Insects are a healthier option because they have more iron, vitamins, protein, and 80% of the insects can be used , but on the other hand, meat takes 200m2 to produce, user's lots more water and only 40% is used.
Insects take a lot less water to stay alive , they are easier to produce and take a lots less space . Insects is better than other bigger, proteins, fiber and they all make you fit and stronger.
The End.
