This year I did my learning with Mrs Parker in a net-book classroom using Google Drive.

Having a net-book made it easier to do my work, find meaning, and connect with others from far places

This year I learned lots about net-book, out of space, and mostly planets.

I did research on…

Jupiter this year to find out if an alien lived on Jupiter what kind of ability.

The thing I enjoyed learning about the most was…all about alien …. because…. in a way it really fun finding new information for parts of the alien.  

I still want to learn more about…..other planets and stars because… it's creative in a way for me

The class trip I enjoyed most this year was ….OMG tech  because…. I learned lots of new things about 3D, science, making our own game, and many many more

I am proud of the way I find new strategies in maths…. Also I love performing in front of people

Next year I am going to make my own strategies one day …. learn more about maths and become one of the fastest maths solver in my school

What causes the seasons ?

What causes the seasons ?

Define: Seasons happened throughout every 3 month & include Autumn, Winter, Spring, & summer.

In Autumn it's more cooler than winter or spring because the earth is on a tilt which why autumn is cooler. And some all the leaves turn orange and yellow.

Winter is the colder because during it tilt it also faceing away from the sun, which why it’s colder. Also good for drinking hot chocolate.

Spring is more windy and a good mouths for flying cite. Spring is also the time when the leaves fall off the trees.

Summer is the hottest of them all. That is a good time to go swimming, also it good to slip, slop, slap and wrap on some t-shirt.

Lastly we get seasons because the earth is on a tilt on its axis. Most people think when the earth orbits the sun we will fall off. “No” because on earth we have gravity.

What I am grateful for

This year 2015 I am grateful for, my school, where we are lucky to have free milk. I am grateful for participating in sports, and learning how to cook a perfect egg. By the end of this term I want to achieve 3 level in stage 6.

1. In our school we are lucky enough to have free daily milk every day after morning tea. We drink daily milk every day because it has protein, calcium, iodine, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins B2 and B12 for our brain, bone, and muscle working.
2. The next things that I am grateful is sport. In our school we mostly play sport and lots of other fun games with our sports gear. We like to do does kind of thing because it keeps our brain working, our muscle moving and lastly it keeps us fit and healthy.
3. In my entire life since I was a kid the most challenging thing I have never master was cooking a perfect, to me” cooking a perfect is really hard work. It is really because every time I try to crack an egg it always fall apart, If anyone know how to cook an egg please comment on my blog.
4. By the end of this year I wants to achieve level 3 in maths, which is stage 6. The reason I wants to move up is because I want to get really good points and achieve my goal.

TOPIC: People should include insects in their healthy diet.

We should eat insects as part of a healthy diet.

I  agree with this statement because, they  are healthy, they are free and cheaper to produce.

 

Insects are a healthier option because they have more iron, vitamins, protein, and 80% of  the insects can be used , but on the other hand, meat takes 200m2 to produce, user's lots more water and only 40% is used.  

Insects take a lot less water to stay alive , they are easier to produce and take a lots less space . Insects is better than other bigger, proteins, fiber and they all make you fit and stronger.

Glenbrae School is the best school in the world.

We are the best school , because we have lots of sports, clubs, awesome beautiful teachers, trips, Kiwi Can and we are one of the luckiest schools in the world to have netbooks.

At Glenbrae School we play lots of sports to keep us fit and healthy. We also compete in tournaments against other schools to win certificates and sometimes trophies. The awesome fun sports we play are soccer, rugby league, netball, rippa rugby, cricket, orienteering, and cross country. The schools we play against is PT England, St Patrick's, Bailey Road, and other schools in Glen Innes.

Glenbrae School also have clubs too. We have clubs because we wanted to show who we are and where we are from. We get 1 term to think about what we want to do and show in front of everyone in the whole school, it is amazing,  trust me. You just wait to see our dance performance.

Our teachers in Glenbrae are amazing because they are cool and they always have a smile. In our beautiful school we only have male. My teacher is so nice to all of use and the best part was ‘waaaait’ when she is sick we be nice to her too.

In our school we always go on trips to learn more thing’s that we don't know. We are lucky to go on bus instead off walking a long way, hahaha,. In the bus we sing songs and also play a little game.

Kiwi Can is people how comes every friday to teach us all about good things. They help us with a lots of stuff and and sometime buy us new things. We learn new awesome things about having a good life.

Glenbrae, is one of the luckiest school in the world to have netbooks. We gets our netbooks form manaiakalani. They are people that help you learn more about technology, it faster to connect with others.

Cross Country Practise

Cross Country Practise

It was a cold, windy Tuesday morning, and my teacher told us to that we were going for fitness up at the school field. The reasons we went for practising for cross country is that next week coming we have to participate in our school cross country and we have to be ready.

We ran around the beautiful, wet, fluffy, green grass with a little bit of mud on it. We stretched before we ran because if we don’t stretch our muscles might pop.

After our stretches my teacher sent the girl's first and then us. We ran around the field 2 times. I jogged with my mate Maselino for the first lap, then halfway he stopped and ran to his brother. So it was only me who carried on. While I was running the cold air was stopping me from reaching the end but I didn't let that stop me from reaching the end. At the end I was so tired.

Never Give Up.

I learnt today that when our school has cross country, at the start jog first before and then run so when other people are slowing down, that's when you sprint.

Windy day

It was a dark chilly windy afternoon, that made it a perfect day to be at the mall. Mum took me to the mall to get some healthy food. Mum said to me “stay here, will I go and get the money from the bank”. While I was standing looking around a boy who is like me walked up with a cheeky smile on his face. He said to me “do you want to go internet cafe?” I nodded my head to him, to say no and then he said “O.K”. After that he then asked me “do you want’s to go over to the fruit's court's for a walk” I said then “O.K but I have to tell my mum first. When mum came back I asked her “can I go with my new friend for a walk around the fruit's court's”. Yes but you have to be back here in 5 mins”. “Yes mum”. When we were walking he said “let’s have a break here next to the apple court’s “O.K then. While we were there something fishy was going on. I turn my hard and saw my new friend hard coming out of my bag “that was weird I said”. After that he said “let’s go know” “O.K” I said. We walked out alone the new alarm door. When I step out of the shop the alarm started ‘It was loud!’ the police ran fast as lightning. They came and looked at my back they found a apple in my bag I said to one off the police ‘may not best friend did it’ “How said the police” there is a apple in my bag ‘here it is’ You are in big trouble boy. Mum came and said ‘oh’ you are o.k

My Poem

Pride

Pride is the colour of the rainbow, it brings out happiness when the clouds pass away and the sun crawls in,  that is when the rainbow shows it self.

Red brings out the the life

Orange brings out the healing

Yellow brings out the sunlight

Green brings out the nature

Blue brings out the serenity

Purple brings out the spirit

Pride taste like you can do anything and no one can stop you

It smell like freedom when you get a certificate

It sound like when you do something that you are proud off you can hear the wind clubbing for you

Poo the elephant

Poo the elephant

One morning in the mysterious jungle a new elephant was rise. His name was poo. Poo feet hungry so he walked around the jungle looking for peanuts but there was no peanuts anywhere so poo set down on the juicy green grass and looked up in the sky and there it was the bananas but the problem is  it just too high for elephant the poo to rich. so poo the elephant went home to make a invention. When he was finish he named it elephant on a balloon. Poo came out with his invention and tried it. It went well but when poo was have way most off the balloon  were popped. Poo tried flapping his ear to help the rist of the balloon fly higher to get the bananas. After a minutes oh 2 the rust off the balloon popped and poo kept on flapping his ear but it didn’t work . poo came down with a crash” SO poo gave up and buch the banana tree. Poo cried because his hand hurt but there were good news for poo some bananas fall from the banana tree and land on poo hand. Poo felt very very koa.
